Just thought I should post this for those heading into surgery soon! I was on the site ALL THE TIME, pre-surgery, just looking for other people's experiences. I remember it being said that those who do well, don't usually keep posting, so things can look a little negative.

Just wanted to say that my fusion is behind be and I feel better than I have in a decade.

Hope those how are still struggling find some freedom from their pain and those yet to have surgery, GOOD LUCK!

  • I'm glad you're doing so well. I have a question for you. I had a big fusion anterior and posterior. My back feels ok but my incision in my abdomen is about 8 inches long and still hurts even to the touch. No infection, just healing the Dr. said. I'm 4 months PO. Did yours hurt for that long? Thanks so much. Kevin
  • That's great you're surgery was a complete success for you! Thanks for letting us know how you're doing. Charry

  • Isn't it good to feel well after enduring all that terrible pain !! I'm glad you let us know how well you're doing and it's encouraging for all of us.

I had an L4/5 ALIF three months ago and to now be able to join in life and walk without pain is just the best.
