Hi everyone, just wandering if anyone else is taking both of these meds. My PCP just precribed the Elavil to help with sleep. I have been on the Lexapro for about 3 months now and with all the meds I'm on I am lucky to get 3-4 hrs. a night of sleep. Never heard of taking 2 different antidepressants is that safe? Also my PCP wants to add Neuroten in 2 weeks.

  • Hello Barb, Ive never taken Elavil before. But, Ive taken Lexapro for the past 15 years and Welbutrin XL. I also take Tamazapam for sleep and then my pain meds and my med for my Lupus..
But, about 5 days ago my doctor took me off the Lexapro and put me on Prozac. I feel fine except I only sleep for 4 hours and then wake up very tired but I cant fall back asleep..
