I'm going to be buying a new mattress in the next couple of days and my physio told me to look out for a pocket spring mattress (so far I've been on a silentnight miracoil mattress but feel I need something better). I've looked at some pocket spring mattresses and they're very comfy, and the one I was thinking of purchasing also has memory foam on top. Very comfortable and supportive.
On the other hand, the salesman at the bed shop I was in has been telling me about how full foam mattresses (so, memory foam on top of reflex foam) are the way forward, especially on the continent, as they have far superior pressure relieving qualities, as springs always want to go back to their original shape so the pressure is upwards, whereas foam mattresses are the opposite. I have tried some full foam mattresses, the brand being Jaritex, and I think they are very comfortable. Unusual, but comfortable.
I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with ufll foam mattresses and their backs, and what their thoughts are on them? Would I be better off going for springs?
