My name is Melody, and I just found out by accident that I have a Tarlov cyst. I have been struggling to find out what was wrong with me for 18 months. I had surgery for a ruptured disc, and it seemed to go well, but after a month back at work, I again had severe pains, and have slowly declined since then. Now I am fighting to get this taken care of. I am afraid I am running out of fight.

  • Welcome to Spine-Health. You'll find some great information on this site including videos and doctor written a peer reviewed articles. The forums have some great supportive and friendly people as well.

I'm sorry that you're having more pain. This is a good place to be if you feel like you're running out of energy to fight any more. You'll have a lot of people that know what you're going through and sometimes having someone that understands gives you enough strength to keep on going. I think we've all felt like you do at one time or another, but we also know that spine problems usually take a lot to get through. Us spineys are tough folks and I'm glad you found us and hope you get the inspiration and motivation you need here while making friends along the way.

Take care and please tell us more about yourself. The more we know about you the more we can help.

    Welcome to spine-health.
I have tarlov cysts also that I think are causing my lbp and tailbone pain. The doctors say that they don't cause pain and are only incidental findings. I hope you can find someone to help you. I really do understand your frustration. Good luck.

  • Keep on looking for someone to help you and take it one day at a time. I'm sorry you're having so much pain right now. Keep up the good fight. Take care. Charry
