Hello all. I hope you had a wonderful holiday.
I am post op Discectomy Aug of 2008 and L3/4/5 Fusion Feb of 2009 by 2 different surgeons. As you can see from previous posts my symptoms seem to be getting worse instead of better. I first started with left leg pain then slowly both legs and no sensation in upper outside of legs. Now I have no sensation all up and down my legs, outside only. Shooting pains down and through my legs, arms, and fingers. When I reach my arms out I have horrible pain in my mid to upper back. It seems like I do very little and my back goes out. Headaches that get so bad that I have to lay down or get sick. Not to mention the area where I have fusion hurts so bad that it brings me to tears. I used to be able to prop a pillow under my legs and it would give me some relief of that lower back pain but now seems the only position I am in the least pain is flat on my back and even that takes me a few min. to settle into. My insurance was canceled by my job and I was not notified until 40 days after the cancel date so when I went to pain mangmt. I was turned away and when I went for my 9 month post-op checkup I was also turned away for no insurance. I tried to pick up BCBS but they list me with a pre-existing condition. So I go for medicaid... waiting. But my surgeon just told me he was dropping me because he does not deal with medicaid. So I am waiting. But as for my symptoms do you think I have hurt myself more or that my degenerative disc problem is spreading and my spine is slowly deteriorating or what?
