I saw my OS today and he said the xrays look great, fusing, and told me to resume activities (that I have been doing since 10 weeks out) my SI joint is very sore and he told me that is normal following a huge fusion like I did. He said to start seeing a Chiropractor to help ease pain in the SI joint. Has anyone else had this?! Still on Norco 10 for a while but he wants me off it soon. I do have a hernia from my anterior incision. I've had this lump from day 1 on the insision. He said if it continues to bother me to have it fixed, but didn't seem too concerned. What do you think? I'll wait a while, but it does feel very sore. I don't want my abdomen cut again right now, but could you give me some feedback. Thanks, Kevin

  • Kevin..Man that's great news eh? I bet that was a relief to have the xrays show fusion!

I can't really add anything intelligent to the chiropractic thing other than my experience. It made my back feel better for a day or two at a time following each visit. The chiropractor did "neck adjustments" where he abruptly jerked my neck around and popped it. That sucked. After a couple times of that I quit going because it was obviously making my neck bad.

Congrats on the good news. The chiropractor recommendation blows me away. And personally I would not want to do it. They've only hurt me and done damage to my injury. Prior to seeing a specialist.
    Good luck, Jim
