Revision Update

Had a nasty accident where a cabinet fell on me and cause a large hematoma about 1 inch above my front pelvic leads. Revision was really a total rework. Everything was moved, tucked, or replaced. My back two leads were replaced and everythign else was moved to a better location. I have perfect coverage now. Was only going to be in surgery for 30 minutes but ended up in there for 4 1/2 hours. I am glad my doctor took his time. My 8 weeks of no BLT's did start over but I am ok with that. It was time to slow down and take a rest.

  • Glad to hear that your doc took his time and got you perfect coverage and a good and secure system of systems. Sorry that you had a nasty accident, but sometimes good things come out of bad experiences. Rest up, heal up and let us know how you are doing.

  • I'm glad to hear it all came out better in the end.
That just plain sounds NASTY! and my wife wonders why I tell her no I won't do certain things...
  • it went well! I got good news today - no revision for me. Can't imagine but so happy for you that all seems good.

    Take care,

  • I am sorry to hear about your accident, but I am glad to hear that your revision procedure went well. Rest up and take it easy now.

I slipped and fell on the ice on Friday, but thankfully I fell forward instead of backwords. My first thought was about my SCS but it wasn't effected and while more sore I was fine. We try to keep ourselves safe, but you never know what can happen.
