Hi all,

Just need some advice. Im from the Uk and had a Micro-D in Jan. I am going to Cyprus in May and am not sure about Travel Insurance. I usually get it for about £15 but after this its well over £100!
I have the standard EU card so should I just forget the extra?
Does anyone know any other companies I could try?

  • when I traveled outside the US about 3 years ago, I was able to get travel insurance through my personal insurance carrier. If you have health insurance or life insurance, check with your carrier they may offer you insurance for travel for a reduced rate as a existing policy holder. If you cannot find it through them, check online...there are many sites out there that offer legitmate coverage that you can acquire over the net. Mine was through AIG their link is listed below.
Travel ghuard which is underwritten by AIG http://www.aigtravel.com/AIG_English.htm another one is
http://www.insuremytrip.com/ which is a travel insurance comparison site that will help you find the lowest cost with the most coverage. Hope this helps.
  • Thanks - found a good company which is very reasonable.
