Hi Fellow Spiney and Neckies,

I know we all have gone through our share of meltdowns, yesterday was when I finally blew, it was only an amount of time!

I am so tired of winter and being cooped up, recovering from the latest surgery, 2 kids with a stomach virus at different times, which of course always happens in the middle of the night. Why is that??

Then I got the bug, and let's just say I didn't need a turkey baster! Had to cancel plans I was so looking forward to plus a visit with my Mom.

I know I have so many things to be thankful for; supportive family,2 healthy kids, friends, a roof over my head etc. I just hate it when the negatives seem to all gang up on me at once. I think being sick and sleep deprived from the "vomit patrol" all week really pushed me over the edge.

I just needed to vent (whine), Lisa

  • Oh Lisa! I'm so sorry for all you are going through and I can related! Hopefully today/tomorrow will be brighter and a better day! I hope everyone is feeling better, how awful to get sick on top of all you have had to endure! Hugs to you! xxxxxxxShari
  • So sorry that you are sick...remember the BRAT diet for stomach viruses...bananas, rice, apples, toast.

    Get well soon!!

  • Sorry to hear you have all that hit you at once.

Your title is soooo appropriate right now for me.
We have ice dams on the north side of our roof and water running through the ceiling of our dining room. :''( I way overdid it trying to break the ice loose, no luck at all. Got a guy supposed to come around 4 today to see if he is willing to get up there and work on it. $200 minimum. :''(

I ache all over from trying to do it myself, ugh.

    Hope you feel better soon!
  • Lisa, vent away!I hope you get over "the bug"soon---The miserable, rainy, snowy, cold winter has made just about all of us want to jump off the roof.I have not had it near as bad as our northern spineys, but my area of north texas has had unrecorded amounts of snow and cold.We are spoiled! All of us want so badly to feel well and get out in warmth and sunshine.Every day is one day closer to spring!I hope your kids are well too,and back in school! We are here for you-Jeannie

Will most definatly do it all by itself. And the rest of it just ads to an imposible situation. A meltdown is just inevitable. I've had many!
    Good luck, Jim

Today is yours to embrace........ for tomorrow, who knows what might be starring you in the face!
  • I) I) I) I) I) Sending you some sleepy avatars to loll you to sleep tonight.

Bless your heart, vomit patrol, and now you've got the bug. Yes, you deserve a good meltdown.

Your husband's got to take care of the little ones this weekend so you can get your sleep. It's amazing what a good night's sleep can do for a person's outlook.

I'll send you some of the beautiful, sunny weather we're having here in Orlando.

I bet spring break will be packed down here with northerners due to the horrid winter weather everyone's had to endure this season.

Well, sweetie, hope you get to feeling a bit better. And you know you can vent as much as you need to with your spiney friends.

    Take care,

  • I'm a bit feeling better today. Its always nice to have my spiney/neckie friends give a few kind words of support. Last night went to bed at 8, took advil pm to ensure a good night sleep, then my 5 year old is back to barfing at 11:00! Poor thing. But thankfully she just went back to sleep and I was able to also.

    Come on Spring!!
    Take care my fellow spiney/neckeys
  • sorry to hear your having a rough time of it. I remember we had our surgeries within a week or two of each other. I have had stomach banding so I know how much vomiting sucks with a bad back.
Sending you some Aussie sunshine your way.
    Get better soon.
  • So sorry you are under the weather with that nasty virus. It is hard to deal with your children ill when you are well, and you have it ganged up on you. I had my grandkids this weekend through Mon afternoon. 6 month old and 20 month old. With my pain level, I was glad hubby was there to help all weekend as the little one is kind of needy. Anyway, they took very good naps and then Mommy was there to get them in the afternoon. That night I started getting a sore throat, got really sore, really fast. Then took temp and it was 101. So yesterday I layed around and slept and thought about my tax appt today. Today is better, taxes are ready for lawyer and I am a bit better.
This virus stuff seems to hang around, and I keep getting every few weeks. Seems like us spineys are more suseptable to it. Hope we both get over it and that Spring comes soon!!! I also hope that you can get some much needed rest as well..Take care my friend, Love, Robin
  • I feel like my complaints are so piddly compared to what you have been through the last 2 years. You are a very strong woman, remember that. I pray you will have better, painless days ahead.

    Take care, Lisa
