Ok, things have been going rather well for me.. L5-S1 fusion about 3 months ago.. This last few weeks I have noticed some tightness in me calves and BOTH of my heels really hurt after standing for awhile?? I understand the tightness of the calves but what can be wrong with my heels?? Anyone else ever deal with this??

  • HI Mark :)

I am just taking a wild guess here. I too noticed pain in my calves and feet. My Dr told me without really noticing it we tend to stand and/or walk different and that can create these odd pains.

Sometimes due to pain or even the lack of pain I will walk or stand in a different way.

L1 - S2 "gone" useless in 1 way or another. DDD. RA. Bone Spurs. Tons of nerve damage/issues. Stenosis. Both knees replaced. 50 yrs old. I had a great fall (hence my user name) at age 41 and it has been a domino effect every since.
  • and it was my hamstings. My Dr had me put leg up on step and stretch it. Thats all I know about it. It did help , and I also tried to stretch them in bed by moving ankle back and forth stretching them.
