I gave PT a try for about 2 1/2 months.
I hurt so bad I could not stand it any more and quit. The pains I was having from PT went away.
I was told by the PT people that I hurt as I was using muscles that I have not used in a few yrs.
But after going 3 times a week I was thinking it should not hurt THIS bad still :??
I did aqua therapy which is great - love it.
Then there was heat and elec stim which was nice - kind of.
Then there was hell! 2 therapist would take their finger and press it into me all over different spots on my body and would hold the finger there until the pain left. Which it did leave, but within a few hrs or the next day I was so sore everywhere they had pressed the day before. I would just start to return to normal pain levels and it was time to go back to PT again.
Many times I had hubby check me for black & blue marks ( there never was any ) as I hurt so bad I swore there HAD to be marks there lol
They explained why I hurt and why this was important to get done, but I wonder if this type of PT was truly helping me or hurting me more :W
I am not sure if I want to go back knowing what lays in store for me. If it is truly helping me in the long run I will suck it up and go....
Had anyone else had this pressure type of PT before and what do you think of it - did it help you ?
