Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well. I had PLIF L4-L5 in Dec. I had numbness and tingling, and foot problems immediately after surgery which have not subsided. I also still have back pain that bothers me almost everyday. I went to see Neurosurgeon on Feb 10th for checkup. He told me I had a confidence problem, that I should be better. During that visit I still could not dorsiflex(lift off the floor) my left foot. He told me to walk on my heels, which I still cannot do on left foot. He made me try and he almost carried me across the floor. I also informed him that I still had alot of back pain and cannot sleep during the night despite taking Ambien CR, and lyrica. So I asked him to re-fill my vicodin 325 script which he did. So, I get a copy of his office notes, and they say there is nothing wrong, no foot problems, strength 5/5, etc. I called his assistant and told her that the notes were wrong. She said she would send him a note. Needless to say, I called in for a re-fill of the vicodin last Thursday and they have not re-filled it. I called the office and they said it is thier policy to not dis-continue pain meds after 6 weeks. So I told her to speak with the Dr. So she calls back and says Dr looked over his notes, everything is progressing fine, no problems noted and he will not re-fill the pain meds. I am not scheduled to see him again until 22 march. Any suggestions? Should I go see my primary? Thanks for letting me rant. Have a nice day!
