Facet Injections

I had 3 facet blocks done today to test for possible radiofrequency ablation.

I was quite nervous because some people had said the facet blocks were worse than the ESI, but I found them much less uncomfortable. Of course, I didn't have any steroid injected, but overall it was really no big deal.

Right now the whole right side of my back is all numb and I'm kind of loving it!

  • Lucky you. I will never do facet injections again without some kind of sedation. Between those, ablation and discogram, I have no wish to have any needles in my back ever again, unless I am as close to knocked out as possible.

  • I told them beforehand that I might have to start getting sedated, as my BP was 150/93! I do get quite anxious.

But then I'd have to start getting a ride, which would make the whole thing even more of a pain than it already is ;)
