Hi guys, not sure if you remember me, but I just wanted to check in and let you know I had my 7 mo xray and check up and have 65% fusion and am doing much better!! Off of all pain meds (still taking motrin) and back to a 40 hour work week! Still can't jog, bowl or bend much without severe payback! But on the whole, doing sooooo much better!

  • Yea, I remember reading your posts. It sounds like you're a success story..I'm very happy for you! A couple questions if you don't mind? Do you still have any lifting restriction and do you do a physically demanding job? I'm 5 months after my L5/S1 fusion, so I'm not too far behind ya..Really glad you're doing well.

  • Sounds like you are doing great! Keep the great attitude and you will finsh out with flying colors! Take Care, Robin
  • Hey Mama,

It's always great to see a success. We spineys know fusion is a hard recovery. Keep up the good work.

    Best Wishes,
  • I am very much interested in the same question that Aaron asked since I am almost 5 months post op PLIF. I have a physically demanding job and if I don't go back at the end of May, I am at risk of losing my job...but I am still in pain, and having difficulty with decreased strength generally.

So happy that you are doing well, it is so encouraging for me and all spineys!

    Thank you for posting!!

  • I certainly remember you - you're about 6 weeks ahead of me. Terrific that you're doing well and that you've got 65% fusion. Until you're completely fused and it's strong, then perhaps it's not a good idea to jog because of the impact from the road. Maybe fast walking??

    Keep enjoying life.
