Sorry for another long summation, but this is just to let you know my situation. I am a 32 year old male, with no chronic pain or back history, the extent of my medical records would include a broken finger in college and the flu. Until 3 years ago when I was in a car wreck, I saw it coming and tensed up, I know the wrong thing to do, and now I have the worst pain in my legs. It starts above my knee all the way to the top of my ankle on both legs. It is a constant pain all day, all night. One doc said it was restless leg, because it is the worst when I lay down. I tried every RLS medicine out and nothing helped not even a little.
I have had 2 MRIs, nerve test, leg blood circulation test, all show negative. One doc even said that there was nothing wrong with me and to deal with it.
Now I tend to think I have a high tolerence for pain, no pain meds with the broken finger sitting sideways on my right hand from a silde to second, but this kills......
The best way to describe it is like "growing pains" it feels as though the bones in my legs are aching and trying to break out of my skin.
I got to a nero doc and she actully tried for 2 and a half years on all kinds of meds to try to stop the pain, even if only at night to sleep.
Now I am seeing a pain specialist and he seems to be of no help either. I don't know what to say to him about the pain that is still here even with the meds he has given me without sound like a druggie. I just want to be able to sleep, go to work, and take care of my pregnant wife.........what do I do, what do I say, why won't this pain just go away....?
