I had a multi level lamenectomy lumbar fusion Sept 2008. I fused but have nerve damage. Two weeks ago I had a permanent spinal cord stimulator implant. The Neurosurgeon said he had a rough time and hit some nerves and irritated them and my right rib and middle of the right side of my back hurts. Also, i have been bloated since the surgery. My stomach is hard and it feels like so much pressure. The dr keeps saying it will go away. Has anyone else had this problem? thanks so much

  • My surgeon had talked briefly about that being an option for me and I'm not there yet. I'm sorry that I can't help you in answering your problem but this on the other hand is good info for me and I definitely will be following your progress. I hope it gets better for you and starts doing what it's supposed too.
  • I had a ALIF-PLIF fusion this past Oct, and no relief, the surgeon says there is no mechanical reason, I am like why do I hurt so much. Im awaiting a CT scan, to go to the pain clinic. And they are talking of doing a spinal cord stimulator. Does anyone know about it, and could give me some advice? Thanks, hurting in Kansas
