I had my surgery on Monday. I had to stay over night in the hospital because they couldn't manage my pain in the surgery center....This was a complete nightmare!! A lot of the dr's and nurses were like..I don't know why this isn't working for you. I had to explain to them that I've been on these stupid meds for so long it takes more than the normal amount to have any effect on me...Sad but true.
A lot of my pain right after the surgery was really bad muscle spasms in my shoulders...well collar bone area and down through my shoulder blades. I'm still having this issue and managing it with meds, mostly heat, and some icing.
I'm reading these stories of people that were up and about...driving...etc. within a week.
I need some advice about managing the spasms...Stretching?...etc?
The dr. said my throat would be sore for about a month. I've been pretty much on a liquid diet....Any advice...??
Anyway...I'm sorry for the pitty party...It's 6am...And I woke up at 5:30am with the screaming spasms!...ugh
So again...Any advice with post op care would be greatly appreciated. I'm not saying my surgery was unsuccessful...I just need some advice on getting through the spasms...swollen/sore throat...etc.
