Hi Everyone, I'm John. My insurance won't cover an artificial disc replacement so I'm meeting with my surgeon about a fusion. I talked to his assistant and they are talking about going in through the abdomen. I'm scared to death over surgery but just can't take the pain anymore. I hope surgery helps.

  • I hope surgery can help you also. I haven't had surgery yet just wanted to welcome you here. There's a lot of support from others here who have had surgery. Check out post-op must haves for surgery and what you'll need afterwards. http://www.spine-health.com/forum/back-surgery-and-neck-surgery/post-op-must-haves-0 Take care. Charry

  • I also had multiple tears at L3/L4 and can relate to how painful that is.

I had an endoscopic microD and PLDD which helped tremendously with that (thank goodness).

Good luck with your surgery and please keep us posted.
