I was wondering if any has had any experience with Amrix (extended release flexeril). I get very drowsy on flexeril, but it works really well for me so my doctor recommended I give Amrix a try. It's a new drug and *really* pricey, so before I fill it I was hoping someone could share their experience with me. Did you have drowsiness or mental foginess on the Amrix like with flexeril?

I'm actually pretty excited about this because flexeril works so well, so I'm really hoping the claims about this new drug causing less drowsiness are true :)

  • My experience with flexeril is the drowsiness goes away after a few weeks.

When I first started taking it, I slept and slept. I really couldn't stay awake.

As time went by, it got better.

Before my surgery, I was taking it 3/day and didn't have a problem.

Hope you are having a good day!
  • Hey Lala,

I was just prescribed Amrix today. I was lucky enough to get some samples. It will be a bit before I can comment on the effectiveness. My PM also gave me a coupon for a $10 co-pay for it. Ask your PM if they have any of the coupons.
