Well my prayers were finally answered and they have taken mercy on me and I have only 6 sleeps till I get to go in for my L4-5 discectomy and fusion and Im just trying to do my best to get everything ready for the big event, and I was just wanting to see if anyone has any tips, suggestions or things to take, know or be prepared for etc.
I have had a look and saved a copy of the list posted for surgery stuff and I am all sorted with my home help and care for the kids while Im in the hospital and post op, but I was wondering what I might feel like post op straight away, and things I could expect for my recovery and rehab in the early days.
I am right in to scrapbooking - its what I have been doing to keep me occupied while I lay here immobile and wait for the op, and I was thinking about taking my design books and pencils etc and laptop things like that, but will I actually be with it enough to use them or should I flag taking them?
I am not a real magazine reader but thought I might just take 1 or 2 but any other good to do sugestions.
Honestly I am worried I will get bored with my 6 day postop stay and Im not good with out my freedom to be arty and express myself LOL so getting ideas from the BTDT's might just save me.
Anyway cant wait to hear what yall think, thanks in advance!
