Ive been reading a lot of the posts from people describing their symptoms w/ Fibro. and they sound like I could have written them! My primary Dr. mentioned Fibro. to me, but we decided that the best plan was to wait until I can get my L-5 through S-1 herniation taken care of, to see if any of the pain decreases.

  • I know that fear also, but often your muscles 'guard" the damaged area, off-setting your entire muscular-skeletal system, causing tight muscles and pain through out your body.

I get pain in my arms, shoulders, upper back, knees and ankle, but it really is just my lumbar spine!

Hang in there and try not to worry. Easier said than done, I know! My surgeon is concerned that I may have MS and wants a complete neurological work up. Even going so far to say he wouldn't do my surgery until I had that done, but he relented. I want a chance to heal completely before going through that.

Wishing you the best for your upcoming surgery. We are here to help along the way.

    Take care!
