Hi i am chad and I am new to the forums but have a long going battle with back pain.I posted my problem in the lower back pain forums, any advise is welcome here is a link to my problems.sorry bout the spelling, i am in pretty stong pain right now.

  • I am so very sorry to hear of your suffering. As you will find with many members on this site, you are not alone in your battle/quest for pain relief.

I am not sure how it works in NC but I am in SC and it took exactly 2 years to get my SSD. I got turned down twice and got approved when I went in front of an ALJ (administrative law judge). The key seems to be making sure that your doctors are behind you as what they have to say holds a lot of weight.

For SSD you must be unable to do any type of work.

Good luck and please keep us posted.
  • hi and welcome to the forum! :H we are here to offer you support and answer what questions we can.. i am sorry to hear you are in pain. please have a look around and make yourself at home. drop by anytime! Jenny :)
  • Thank you guys for making me feel at home. I have felt so alone during this. I think the worst part is haveing people doubt how bad you really feel. Thank you again, you guys really are great.
  • Welcome to Spine-Health.

You've found one of the great things about these forums - that you're not alone in your battle with spine problems. We all know how you feel, unlike those around us in the real world who simply can't understand what it's like to be a spiney. Nobody knows until they've been there and we've all been there.

So again, welcome and I hope you stay and get to know us.
