ok, I'm so nervous about my upcoming hearing, I have so many questions. I hope you all don't mind.
My attornies state that I have such good medical evidence and a wonderful doctor who is very supportive. I was told if my age were above 50, I probably would have been awarded first time. I am 37 years old right now.
I am wondering: why hasn't the SSA asked for me to be seen by one of their doctors or a psychiatrist? Is that a bad sign?
I looked up what I think is my ALJ's case approval rate and it seems low...maybe 50%...that also makes me very nervous.
Since my family already lost our house and we had to file bankruptcy due to loss of my income (plus almost losing my hubby's career and company which is financial in nature)...will that look like we have addapted? b/c we haven't...we are renting a house, have 5 kids and have been on food stamps for several months.
also, My license expired 2 years ago and we sold one car to pay bills and I don't drive at all due to my back and neck and leg. My doctor is now filling out handicapp parking for me...will either of these items help them see I am unable for any work? I can't drive myself and my doctor knows this. He even makes home visits on occasion when I can't get out of the house.
They said my doctor just filled out an activity assessment form again and it was good to go...I guess this is normal before going into hearing to make sure it's still the same? Last time he put I could not stand, sit or walk more than 30 minutes without changing positions, but I haven't seen the new one.
I can't imagine even without physical disability, that I coould work with the medications I take to help ease the pain. First, how would someone pass a drug test and second, I am so forgetful and sleepy...it's just strange. I have no idea if I'll have a vocatinal person there to try to match me up for a job? Would my attorney know this?
I'm sorry, I may have more questions, I just keep thinking of things. I need to call my case manager back tomorrow am to ask a few more things...like would it help for my doctor to be present in the hearing or if it's allowed or needed. I have an appt with my doctor tomorow afternoon, so I was going to talk to him. I am just so anxious...just have 5 weeks to go. Thanks...
Thanks again and sorry for so many questions.
