Hubby has walked 226 kilometers since his surgery

at the end of June. At first it was just up and down the road but now he is upset if he can't do at least six kilometers a day. I am so proud of him. Granted he has been pain free for the most part since the operation but he has pushed himself every day to do a little more and it has been blistering hot here.

I don't know how you guys who are still raising families or have to go back to work manage. Puts me in awe as we are just dealing with the exercise and boredom. If we had to add work stress or kid stress onto that, I doubt if he would be doing as well.

  • Horray! So happy to hear your hubby is doing so well! I'm in the US and wish I would have paid more attention in school when we were learning the metric system! :) I am not sure what that distance converts to, but I know it is awesome!

You are right, adding work and kids adds to the journey, but we all have to do what we have to do, right! :) It is all we know! :)

I keep telling my hubby to "look out!" Once I get my endurance back, I am sure to get into trouble! :) And I look forward to it! I think I may even get a pass the first time or two! I have been watching from the sidelines for far too long!

Give your hubby a high five from us! And congrats!!
  • Your husband is doing soooooooo well. I never thought of keeping a record of how many kms I walked. I walked heaps and it would have been interesting to know how much I did in those early weeks.

I'm glad I didn't have to go back to work either and I had an uncomplicated recovery - bored and unsettled, yes !!
