Just for an update, I received my MRI results back and apparently I have some bulging at L3-4 and L4-5 which is the place of my two level fusion, as well as epidural fibrosis. The good news is that the bulging discs do not appear to be compressing any nerves. The bad news is that now there is no clear evidence of why I want to chop my leg off. I have an EMG scheduled today. I feel like I am back at that point again when your symptoms don't look good on paper, so you get to suffer and be miserable until something finally looks good on paper to do anything. Last time that took 4 years. I guess my optimism is totally fading. Most days I struggle to make it through the work day and I am just so sick and tired of being this way. I have spent the last several weekends in bed with a heating pad, have missed work, etc. At 35 this just sucks.
Too many injections to count 2004-2010
2008 - bilateral lumbar laminectomy that was supposed to be done at L4-5 but was done at L3-4
2009 - trial of the spinal cord stimulator
2009 injury to where surgery took place, ended up having a two level fusion - L3-L5
2010 - Hardware removal
Currently taking Oxycontin, Norco, valium, baclofen, neurontin, cymbalta
