any suggestions, advice as to what may be causing this....in my mind rapid decline of spine...many new issues in 210 that were not present in 08 or 09 mri's

thanks all for you time and advice

  • hi and welcome to the forum! :H we are here to offer you support and answer what questions we can.. i am sorry you are not feeling well but you have come to a great place for info and friends.. i cannot help you with your MRI, your doctor is best for that, but i do wish you all the luck in feeling better and getting treatment.. drop by anytime! Jenny :)
  • I have some similar L5-S1 and DDD as well as C6-C7 nerve impinging. Have you had an injury? My issues weren't tied to any one issue but repeatedly lifting twisting, bending on my job throughout the years. I hope you see your Ortho or Neurosurgeon or Neurologist soon to give you some treatment options. We're not able to read your MRI so hope you can see your Dr. soon to help you with interpretation. Take care. Charry
DDD of lumbar spine with sciatica to left hip,leg and foot. L4-L5 posterior disc bulge with prominent facets, L5-S1 prominent facets with a posterior osteocartilaginous bar. Mild bilateral foraminal narrowing c-spine c4-c7 RN
  • I am sorry to see all of your problems.

I am just now getting into the T-spine problems after having a lumbar fusion 2 years ago and cervical fusion this spring followed by a MVA (I was T-boned the day after I was released to go back to work and I was working).

I would be sure to get a second opinion and maybe even work with a few different doctors (like a neuroligist and reumy as well as the NS/OS) to work on a good diagnosis before they start doing surgeries- get a good game plan it is going to be a long process.

    Hang in there, ~ HUGS~

  • Thanks for the reply....i was in bits for about a week as i have not received an explanation as to why this is happening....they may say wear and tare...but all that in 2 years without an accident...i am not so sure
  • thanks for you kind words...right now they have given me steroids and set up a bi-lateral epidural...i know thats just for the pain...i will let them do it and then peruse some kind of remedy or stabilization if thats possible....i think it may be a chemical thing....i know this process will be long

  • No injury....just gone that way in the last 2 years... completely at a loss as to why at this time
