Post Lumbar Fusion

Hello,my name is Kim I am new to this web site but not new to chronic pain. My spine problems elavated approx. four years ago.April of 2010 I had a Lumar fusion of L/4-L/5 I was told that both nerves that exited this area were both compressed by my vertabrea post surgery symptoms have been loss of feeling on 50% of my left thigh and heavy burning in the same area after I am on my feet for 10 minutes or more.On my right outer thigh if I am on my feet if I am on feet for 10 minutes or more I get heavy pin and needles.Through a nerve conduction test I was diagnosed with non diabetic neuropathy and radiculopathy of my left leg.The verdict is still out in my opinion if the has been better for my health based on the pain that I endure daily.Thank you for letting me express what is on my mind I feel as if my family members around me don't understand the toll chronic pain can have on somebody.

  • i am sorry the surgery didnt ease the discomfort. i too have your symptoms and know your discomfort.
