How does a person kbnow they are suffering, Unless you tell them they are suffering.
How does a person know pain unless they experience it vicerally.
We are decriptive critters, and enamored of our being, always wanting to decribe our humanity being.
We compare and contrast our experience with input from and experience with others, sooo. there can be exageration or under mmmmm... action on the part of the sufferant.
Some will fall prey to one upsmanship...my pain is bigger than your pain thing, or the opposite...it dont hurt, all the while hanging off at the odd angle.
Whether you nobely, stoicly endure...or howl horribly at the slightest provocation, I think its a matter of perspective.
We are told it hurts, we fear pain and hurt, and the fear created by early impressions grows proportionally or disproportionally to the experience of pain in the infernal feedback loop.
The suffering is the opposite to pain, seeking comfort is the natural path of man no? and if we are in pain we seek comfort, the pain being the vehicle to get commiseration, the kiss for the oweee, the way to bring attention to the stimulus.
What of the median person?
The person who takes pain at its value, it is what it is, in quantity and quality, who learned through experience and took the lessons to heart.
The sufferant who doesnt show (too much) of the ordeal, who may inspire instead of play to the stereotype of suffering.
Settling with the idea of and understands after careful consideration...that suffering can be endured and not grown out of proportion.
