New Pain! :-(

Hey everybody. Just a quick question. A few days ago I stretched out on the floor because I was hurting and when I went to get up my back "popped" and immediately afterward I am now getting what I have to describe as electrical shocks all over the front and back of my thigh area of my legs. It is so painful that I can't walk with out crying out in pain. I had experienced this pain one time before in one spot on the front of my left leg 4 days post L4 - S1 PLIF surgery and was told it was most likely just a nerve pain from where my body was trying to heal. Anybody ever deal with this or have any idea what it could be? It definately does not follow the pattern of where the naerves run down my leg? Any thoughts or similiar experiences would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hi,

My first thought is that you need to contact your spine specialist's office to be seen.

    Best wishes,

  • Just wanted to say you have a beautiful name.

Reason being thats the same way we spell my daughter's name!
My ex chose our daughter's name, and i chose the way it was spelled. :H
  • to marirlpn- Thanks you, but I am currently looking for a new specialist because the pain clinic I go to responded to this with a return call of Well just go with it for a few days and see if it subsides~and when it didn't they said the dr. said he couldn't do anything til my next appointment which is in November!!!!

@ Jim ~ Thank you! I love the way my name is spelled. It seems to be a very unique way to spell it! Tell your daughter I love her name as well!

MY Back is in constant pain once again and my legs are still doing the same thing and the dr tells me to wait it out and I have to use my local ER (in compliance with the pain clinic I attend) and all they do is tell me to go home and call the pain clinic cause they aren't allowed to do anything for me since I go to the pain clinic! What a vicious cycle! I can't keep this up! I am a single mom of three boys who depend on me!!! :-(
  • Have you considered just doing a walk-in visit to your doctor's office.
Granted you gonna have to wait when you get there, but i kinda doubt that they will force you to leave before you are seen by the doctor.

If you can't find another option, thats something to consider. Thats too long of a wait when your in pain.
