Almost two years ago I had surgery on L4 - S1. All was well, until earlier this year. I had a series of three caudal injections this spring which appeared to be working.

Now after almost four months of (almost) absolutely no pain radiating down the legs, the heavy feeling is returning.

I discussed this with my PM doc prior to my facet injections in my C-spine earlier this week. He mentioned we will discuss it further during my follow-up appointment. One thing he did mention which raises a bunch of questions if the possibility of burning the nerve.

I have heard of folks having their nerve(s) burned; but as of now, I am totally clueless of the hithertoo's and whyfors.

I would appreciate any input (if possible) concerning having nerves burned.

View my history for all the gory details.
