Hi. :H I just started nortriptyline. This is the 2nd night & I am wide awake, like I just drank 5 cups of coffee. Have you tried this medication and how has it affected you? :SS

  • I was taking that for about two weeks but stopped the night before last. WHen I started I was told that it would help me sleep. What they don't tell you is that it helps you sleep deeply (read something about stage 3 & 4) not necessarily get to sleep.

Many nights I found myself up at 2 AM but once I got to sleep I had fantastic sleep. I tried taking it earlier, around 6 pm if I wasn't going out again and no difference.

I also found that I had to nap during the day. Not normal for me.
