Bone Marrow Donation Gone Wrong

edited 06/11/2012 - 8:48 AM in New Member Introductions
I did a bone marrow donation 26 months ago and I immediately knew something was wrong. I went back to get an MRI and CAT scan and they found that the intern that did my left hand side had gone thru my bone and out the back side multiple times leaving bone fragments in mt S.I. joint. The needle also fractured my S.I joint. I went to the pain management clinic and did follow up appointments for about a year. They did some more imaging test at about the 15 month mark and told me I was healed. My pain has never stopped and recently I tried to jog and I suffered debilitating pain for a week. My concern is that as I get older (I just turned 50 ) Its going to get worse and leave me layed up or drug dependent. I was an avid runner, did Karate, and biked 150 miles a week during the summer months and now Im gaining weight and dont know where to turn. I to am a former Marine and Im pretty tough, but this is wearing me out. Any advice is appreciated.
