OT: How do I copy/download MRI images off of CD-ROM?
Are we allowed to post our MRI images on this forum? Can someone help me figure out how to capture an image off of my CD-ROM? My friend wants to see what my cyst looks like. I'd like to post it here for you guys too--IF we are allowed to do that.
Anyhow, I know how to capture pics off of CD-ROMs, but this is different. I can't figure out how to do it. I can't figure out what software I need to OPEN and VIEW an individual picture. I know how to go to MY COMPUTER and then the CD ROM drive, and copy a cdrom.... but this cdrom must have some strange medical extensions on it that I am not familiar with.
Here's all I've got to go on: When I put the CD into the drive, the autoplay window opens up and asks me if I want to run MIV2cdr.exe or open files or folders, which I do. I select DICOM to access the folder with the pics on it. I can't figure out what kind of extentions it uses, as it does not say.
Am I in any danger of screwing up this cd rom if I mess around with it? I need it for the doctor next week. I'd like to make a copy of the entire thing, but I can't figure out how to do that either. Brain fog. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
