can anyone shed some light on this for me ??? i injured my back about 4months ago and have been having lower back pain and numbness and weak spells in my right leg that last for 3 to 4 min at a time and happens frequently and i also walk with a limp all the time...my mri results show bulge and annular tear at L4/L5 with no impingement of the nerve and an annular tear at L5/S1 ... does any one have a similar problem or know whats going on???

  • I had an annular tear and was told the chemicals cytokines leak out and irritate the nerves and cause inflammation around the sciatic nerve and cause sciatica to the leg or in my neck arms. But this is what my Dr. told me and may not necessarily be the same in your situation. I hope you're going to see a Neurologist for the weakness in your leg. I hope it heals for you. Take care. • hey thanks for your response ..my neurologist mentioned the leaking fluid could irritate the nerve and cause problems but he also said it should have been better by now and they dont know whats going on...thats why i was hoping to find someone else with a similar condition to see if they could shed some light on the subject
