Physical Therapy Pricing?

My ortho recommended physical therapy 3x/wk for 4 weeks. I have to budget from an atty lien, as I have no insurance coverage of my own.

I went over the the PT office and inquired of pricing. They said initial consultation is around $300 and each visit will be around $100 bucks.

Is the pricing stated above about average? The facility has a heated swimming pool, spa and many machines.

  • LV,

Are they giving you the full price verses telling you what your deductible or better stated 'co-pay' is? When I had PT, my co-pay was $20.00 each visit.

Oops, just reread your post (lack of insurance). I would check with your attorney to see if there is a co-pay instead of the full fee to you. The prices you're giving are close to what mine would have been without insurance. I am in the Miami area if that helps.

    PCTF C4 - T2, Laminectomies C5, C6 & C7. Severe Palsy left arm/hand.
  • Ask if you can get a contracted rate even though you're paying cash. Those sound about right for cash prices, but insurance companies pay much less.
