OK...so for the past week I keep getting a headache on the top right side of my head. It is throbbing and feels like it spreads across my head. I am up to 100mg of Lyrica for my nerve pain and muscle spasms. Well, I am still jerking violently and my head is killing me. so, any suggestions? Are they even related???? anyone else experience this?

    hey turbo,

I think the best advice anyone could give you is to consult with your Dr. When it comes to the area of the brain you don't want to guess and make any mistakes. IMHO, I wouldn't put it off too long either.
Hope all goes well for you,
  • Well I think I have managed to get the right dosage of lyrica in my body. No jerking, no headaches, no pain. Still gonna call my dr tomorrow to discuss what has been going on though just to be on the safe side :)
  • Like Ranger, is your doctor on board with all of this? Are you with a "spine specialist" to see what is going on? Brain scan, MRI of the cervical, NCS/EMG etc. Keep after them... :)

    PCTF C4 - T2, Laminectomies C5, C6 & C7. Severe Palsy left arm/hand.
  • Yes my dr is a spine specialist or "spine nerd" as I call him. I left a message this morning so we will see what happens.
  • I'm glad to hear you have a call in to your spine nerd (I understand that sentiment). Please keep us posted on what he says. I hope everything is ok.

  • this sucks. i took 150mg of lyrica this morning. my arms and legs have begun jerking uncontrollably..again. my neck hurts on both sides from my shoulders to my skull. i am trying very hard to hide this from my co-workers and boss. NS has not called back yet so I am in limbo at the moment.

i cried on christmas day because of this, i can feel it coming on again. i thought surgery was suppose to fix this :( :''(
  • I am sorry that you are feeling this terrible pain...and going to your job, trying to hide it, to boot. I am sending positive vibes your way that your doctor calls you back today. You said that you could feel another attack coming on yesterday. How are you doing today

  • My dr.'s PA called and left a message basically saying my headaches are not surgery related and to take some tylenol. As for the lyrica, she said take the 150mg....no specifics on when to take it or anything.

Grrrrrrrrrrrr! I still have horrible pain on each side of my neck up to the base of my skull and get a headache each morning on the top of my head. Oh and to top it off, I woke up sick this morning! going to see my PCP to get the sinus infection knocked out and get his opinion on all of this.

Thanks for the positive vibes, I sure do need them :)
