:)Saw my PT today. Thanks to use of a couple of machines, electrical stimulation, hot packs and exercises done twice a day, improvement of my lower back pain has been awesome - on the 1 to 10 scale, down from an average of 8 to, usually, 3 or 4 (top is 5). The therapist also gave me the good news that, despite what my docs said before the PT started, I stand a good chance of avoiding surgery, which would've been a procedure I utterly dreaded: fusion. Yippee-yi-yay-ki-yay!!!!!

Scoliosis, herniated L4-5 disk encroaching on nerve root, grade 1 spondylolisthesis at L4-5, mild herniations at L2-3 and 3-4.

  • I hope you continue to heal and get stronger, Surgery is always a last option!

Awesome job! You couldn't have done it without having faith in yourself!

  • This is a perfect example of why surgery is a last resort. Many times conservative measures can stave off surgery and get you back on your feet and feeling good.

Congratulations, what a great New Years gift.
  • "You couldn't have done it without having faith in yourself": it also took faith in God, and I don't mean Greedy Orthopedic Doctor (LOL).
  • Glad to hear you are getting good pain relief, essmoe. Happy fusion-less New Year!
  • I love to hear when someone makes progress!
Live one day at a time and do it with no regrets. I hold my head up high with pride to the fact that i wont let my injury beat me.

  • Is your Doc an MD Or a Chrio?
    Just wondering I guess?

Glad it is working for you. Keep it up!
