So I'm halfway through my SCS trial, all I can say is wow! Now that the pain from the procedure has diminished, I've found it works quite well, both on my back pain and radiculopathy in both legs! The Medtronics rep did a great job of programming and I'll have a couple requests for program adjustments; I'm certain I'll be moving on to the permanent SCS.
I have a question for those that do have the permanent SCS: Is the stimulation as positional as it is with the trial? I'm finding that even tiny adjustments in how I'm sitting or lying down can cause huge changes in the intensity of the stimulation. Does this occur with the permanent as well? Or does this go away after scar tissue anchors the leads better?
Thanks and happy stimulation!
