Hi all,

I have had a burning in my arms. and necks and shoulders.I am now having another problem I have severe pain shoot through the left out arm and it goes through my pinky and the finger next to it. This shooting is very painful.

Does anyone have this problem? Does anyone know which disc that might be or where the heck it is coming from. For what ever reason allot is happening on the left side with headaches on the left side and some times my left arm and hand cramps up and it freezes. This just started a month ago.

I have had three neck surgeries in 2005 then 2008 then 2009.

This has been nothing but the worst decision I have ever mad. I have had severe nerve damage from these surgeries and now this!

Anyway insight would be great thanks..

  • I am sorry I meant. This has been nothing but the worst decision I have ever made. I have had severe nerve damage from these surgeries and now this!
  • Yep. Mine does that too. It comes from my C4-5 and/or 6-7. This is what my Dr says after looking at my MRI anyway, and I have to agree. I can't be certain exactly which disc is causing it, he may or may not have been specific. It's likely I was just wanting to go home. Well, I'm not planning on having surgery, so I just wanted to make sure I was going to live...lol.
  • Beauty- Have you started on any nerve pain meds? Sorry that you are in pain- I know it stinks. My spine is trouble in all 3 areas right now. For now we are focusing on the cervical area due to the extensive numbness.

I have been having a lot of Hand Pain & complete numbness- it has gotten worse. I only occationally have neck pain, and shooting pain down my arms into the hands/fingers.

My NS ordered a flexion extension MRI- The extension portion really provoked me- I was crying and I am pretty tough.

At any rate I don't have any herniations now but I do have "moderate foraminal stenosis" brought on by bilateral facet hypertrophy at c5/6/7. My NS wanted to see my ligaments but the radiologist didnt even talk about them in the report. My ACDF was in March of last year but was in a MVA in April. I felt excellent after my surgery. I had a huge herniation and bridge of osteophytes removed that were causing both foraminal and central canal stenosis.

I don't see my NS for a couple more weeks and then we will discuss my newest problem. I can't assume it is the fault of the surgery that this happened. This seems to be a facet joint arthitis problem. I wished it would just go away but I doubt it will.

Good luck and keep us posted.
