Oh yes i'm back in physical therapy once again. Gee i guess i did good the last time i was there was in october of last year. :))( This time the doctors said go and try and stabilize your spine so now i'm working on my thoracic and lumbar spine. It should be interesting oh yes, because of the car accident now every time i feel pain i break out laughing. My therapist tried working on me after the accident but the laughing was so bad that she had a really hard time. I've had other therapies since then so hopefully it won't be so bad. I also have a sensitivity problem. Whenever i stress my body at all it puts me into bad pain flares. She said that were going to go very slow,so far i've only gotten one exercise to do. I explained to her that my family doc. doesn't believe that i'm having that much pain and thinks that i'm just seeking pain meds. She said that she could write up a letter and send it to her suggesting that i be sent to a pain clinic. I told her that i doubt she would listen to her but it would be great if she tried. I'll let you's know how that works out. ;)
I was just wondering if anyone on here has the same symptoms as me and if so what has helped???? If tried acupuncture to try and help with the nerve signals, i'm doing reiki through an osteopath,i get massages and now my physio is mobilizing my spine. I've had a bit of success but i need much more help and i'm not sure in which direction to go now. I just don't think that any of these therapies are going to be the magic cure.

  • Sorry Tammy :)

I hope the PM doctor refferal comes through. After having one for a short time I think having your PCP handle your pain is like having an eye doc handle your gyno stuff.

I really like having a PM doctor. I see him every 4 weeks and so far so good. He does all of the optional pain reducers and meds. Although for me he has only done EPI's and meds. I definately would rather see him for my pain control since that is what he specializes in. And when I go into that clinic I feel welcome- not like a drug seeker (thats how my NS nurse and my PCP nurse made me feel).

As for the PT- Good luck :) Maybe you will have a breakthrough and it will work :P

    Feel Better,

  • I saw my physio today and totally forgot to ask her to make up the letter, but i see her again in two days so its no big deal. I had a really horrible weekend with pain, ended up spending a lot of time in the bathroom getting sick. Way too much pain. My therapist spent this session trying to reduce my pain and i must say its down substantially from yesterday,i just hope it stays that way.
  • goodluck, dude..
i think i need therapy too
