Hi- I just wanted to share the news of my 2 month checkup.
The doc says that he can see bone beginning to form, and thought that I was right on schedule. Told me to tell physical therapy to knock off the trunk rotation stuff, and thought everything still looked good. I'm still taking zinc, magnesium, and vitamin D every day, along with the norco cocktails, and for the bad days I still reach for the labels with oxy- on them. Back brace when I leave the house, and bone stimulator every waking moment.

  • Weaveman,

That's great to get that news of seeing bone growth ! And to trust now knowing that your healing and routine of patience and recovery is working !

I remember I went to 4-5 months with my c-spine 3-level bone implant fusion was showing and how good to have a "thumb up" at 2-mos :)

Wish you continued good recovery and fusion being more progressive into the next phase - - and where you have successful fusion.

p.s. Getting acquainted with you the lumbar with hardware process, my lumbar disc bulges is going chronic again and past 4 yrs rhizotomies twice, with more changes - - may need to go this route of surgery, but MRI this week will give verdict.

  • Great news to hear you're fusing. Best wishes for a complete recovery. Charry
