Headache for the past 5 or so days now - frustrated

I won't even go into the reasons in this post as to why I even consented to the ESI that I had last week - but I did. That was on Tuesday. By Thursday, I had a headache. Monday, I phoned the pain clinic to report this "headache" to them and get their take on it. The nurse felt that my headache wasn’t caused by them. She said it sounds as though “it could be caused by anything other than them.” But apparently I should call back if the pain spreads. *lol*

Whatever. I'm 35 and I've suffered migraines since I was 14 or so. This is similar, but it's not a migraine. Add to that, I haven't (thankfully) had a migraine since I've been on topamax. As many of us are, I am also on pain meds, and yet here I am on Tuesday night...still with a headache.

Just, really frustrated. Surgery on May 2nd. Trying to hang in here and hoping for the best.

  • 10 days of a headache now.
  • I would ask for an appointment to see the PM Dr. He may be able to help you with something. Is the headache relieved when you're laying down at all? I would even get checked out by your family Dr. or Urgent care and get something to relieve it. Do you take any pain meds or anti-inflammatories or muscle relaxants? I would get help you shouldn't have to have such a headache with no relief. I hope you feel better, I haven't had any cervical injections but only lumbar ones but wouldn't tolerate a headache for that long I would get a shot of something to help okay? I worked at an urgent care center and people would come in and get checked out there could be something going on. Take care. Charry

  • I do have an appt today with a PA for something unrelated so it will be mentioned.
  • that I am just stuck with the headache.

The regular clinic yesterday said that they couldn't treat the headache b/c I am already on topamax and pain meds.

Last week, the pain clinic didn't want responsibility for the headache.

So, I guess it's here until it gets tired of me.
