Hi everyone, First time here because I have exhausted all my options ! A quick bit of info of myself. I have been in heavy construction for twenty years now and an extreme sport fanatic i.e. skateboarding,dirtbike/atv's,snowboarding. So I admit I have treated my body like a rental car ! I broke my neck in 1996 and had a C-6,C-7 fusion. On Jan. 20th 2011 I had compresion fractures to my L-3,L-5 and had a fusion done to my S-1,L-5 due to a car accident on Sept. 22nd 2010. The fusion supposedly went well according to the doctor but I am having chronic pain in my right side near my tailbone ? The reason for the "?" is because it's hard to pinpoint the exact point. My legs have a dull, ticklish, and almost pins and needle like feeling? I just had an MRI with contrast dye and my surgeon reviewed it and could'nt find anythying wrong? Now I feel I am being tossed aside and given up on. I just know the pain keeps me up all night and have incredible pain. I have been exercising in a pool at a gym for about two weeks now trying to build up my core strength again but doesn't seem to be working. I desperatly need some help from my fellow pain sufferers. Thanks, Al

  • Hi there. Sorry you're having a rough time. Perhaps it i's time to seek a second opinion, and/ or ask for a pain management referral. Fusion unfortunately doesn't get rid of pain in all cases.
Hope for the best for you !
