Lumbar Fusion (L2-L5) Question

I did not personally have the surgery. I am asking for my mom. She is 63 and had her fusion done on the 21st of February.

She wants to know if anyone else has had this done and how long it took to get back on your feet without the assistance of others. She is currently paying for home care and wants to know how long she will need to keep it.

Welcome to S.H. Forums. Everyone heals differently. She will know when she's capable of taking care of herself. I would guesstimate 4-6 weeks. When she goes in to have her staples removed, she should ask the surgeon.
