I'm a 30-year-old female with a history of neck pain that has recently evolved into much pain and numbness/pins and needles down my arms into my hands. My current diagnosis is tendon and muscle tightness/inflammation (the word "fibromyalgia" has been said a few times by my family doctor) but my chiropractor is convinced it's a cervical spine nerve issue. I'm here mostly looking for support and advice while figuring this all out.

I have two boys, age 8 and 10, a wonderful wife and four Chihuahuas. My other medical history is fairly clean, except for PSVT that I am currently not on any medication for, mild heart valve and other structural issues, and occasional "chest wall pain" (chest pain that they haven't found a cause for after extensive testing but goes away with some Tylenol with codeine). Hope to see you all around!

Jenny :)
  • Hi from another forum newbie!

I hesitate to say this, but I've heard a lot of people diagnosed with fibro and then go on to find it wasn't that and was another problem that could be solved. Two in particular suggested that fibro was just something the docs said when they couldn't figure out what else to do. I hope that is not the case with you, and I hope you find the relief you deserve.

    Good luck.

Wow! You have kids that want your attention at the same time your pain is "screaming" for your attention. You definately have a full plate.
I think you will find the support and understanding that may be helpful to you at this site. And the information.. articles and such.. will probably be beneficial, also.
They were to me. And just sharing or venting.. helps me. People here understand . My people in my life have a difficult time "getting it".
I live alone, so now, 24/7 I am able to get to this site and feel connected.
It was nice meeting you! Take care!
