Hello all... just reaching out for some support.. I am 3 months post-op from 2-level ACDF surgery C5-C7. I have noticed thru the healing process my lower back would bother me - not terrible - first felt like it was due to the initial 2 weeks resting and mostly laying on my back propped on pillows. I have been trying to do some lower back stretches along with walking and PT for my neck and seemed to help but still always slight lower back discomfort. Well this week it seemed to get worse - could feel pain down my left leg - then today - I turned around and the pain increased to a point where I feel like my legs are going to give out. I took a muscle relaxer and been icing it all day and trying to stretch it minimally. I go back to my NS on Friday ironically for 3 month post-op appt for neck - and plan to discuss this with her. My question to put out there - could the 2 be related? Anyone out there develop lower back issues that increased during recovery for ACDF surgery and if so - any suggestions... Thanks

  • Lower back pains are really painful and can be severe with time. You should get it checked with some expert and talk to that. Never to ignore a back problem. Lots of persons are paying for their starting mistake of ignoring these.
It can be simple stress on muscles or can be spinal compression. It happens due to increased stress on spinal.
