Sacroilical Joint Injection-5 days after-help

Hi-new to this website. I also posted this under sacroilical painI was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience to mine. I just had a steroid injection into my SI joint using an xray machine for guidance. This was 5 days ago. For two days after I was in extreme pain, couldn't walk. I'm better now but I am still not feeling the relief of pain I want. What I'm feeling in the joint isn't exactly the same pain as before, just slightly different.

Am I worrying about this too soon? Has anyone had this injection and had to wait 5 or more days for it to kick in?

I'm going to Disney in two weeks so I'm hoping this helps me

  • hope you are ok ? just thought I would let you know I also had a tough time after these injections, I took about 3 weeks to feel normal again but everyone is different. Just let time be your healer, rest and exercise, heat and ice, whatever helps do it
  • Thank you. I think it has finally kicked in. The pain is gone but now I have other weird things happening like occasional hip and ankle pain, so I don't know if its just working itself out. I will keep it in mind though that it can take as long as it did with you.
