Is this Sciatica???

Hi all. My doctor wants to know if I've got sciatica going down my right leg. Before my fusion it was an easy answer. I had ripping lightening pain that shot down my leg with every step. I don't have that anymore. What I do have is a constant dull ache down my leg that when I sit down has a mild burning sensation. It's just really a minor annoyence and I don't want to complain about something that isn't what he's asking about. Anyway the more I've walked the more it ache's and the more it burns when I sit. So I'm asking you guys for your opinion is this sciatica in a different form then it was before surgery? Thanks for reading any help is appreciated.

Its easier to identify sciatica conditions when you have that constant stabbing pain starting at your butt traveling down your leg.

I also have had and still down the dull aching pain down the leg. It is sciatica, but the disc impingement is not as severe.

Take a look at Spine-Healths details regarding sciatica conditions: Sciatica

  • Thanks Ron, I appreciate the answer. Ya the screaming pain that was going down my leg was easy to identify. All I could ever find is a generalized description and they almost always say stabbing and tingling. I'll tell the doctor about it.
