Hi there! I'm new here and look forward to getting to know everyone. I have a 12+ hour work night ahead of me and my pain level is sky high. Today I am dealing with neck/shoulder/arm pain, thoracic pain (major muscle spasm), low back pain, and my hips decided to start hurting this morning. I've brought my tens unit and my foam noodle to work today and hope those things will give me some relief. Looking for some encouragement to help me make it through.....

  • I don't work 12+ hours, but I do know that it's sometimes very difficult to work at all with the pain we have. I've also had a difficult time the past couple of days, so I'll give you my support and thoughts for a not-too-difficult time at work.

Good luck and hang in there!
  • Thanks! I really appreciate the thoughts and support!
  • 12 hours is a killer - I couldn't do 8. Just think, at least you're getting paid for it and hopefully when you've finished your shift you can treat yourself to something nice as a reward!

Think happy thoughts, or of a song (mind you, with a song it's something that tends to stick in your mind and then you cannot get it out!!). Oh well, good luck.

  • Well I made it through last night and I really didn't feel too bad at all! Thanks for sending good vibes my way! Oh and I do get to treat myself to a little something thanks to an extra tip that I was given. Yay!
