Autonomic Dysreflexia causing high B/P

Hi I am new here and would like to ask if anyone who has been in pain or bowel/bladder issues get high blood pressure. I am C4-5 injury and research says anything above T-6 injury ends up with the high B/P (Autonomic Dysreflexia) when body is in distress. I have had it several times and most doctors are unaware of it.

  • What type of doctor are you treating with. If you have a spinal cord injury, you should be treating with a doctor who can't treat spinal cord injuries. But also they need to identify what is causing the issues, and treat that as well to stop them or put you on a medication regimen to stop them.
